SHAME ON YOU, DAVE!

David Cameron announced today that if we vote 'Leave' on June 23rd, he cannot guarantee that the State Pension will remain as it is today.
Before the general election last year, he promised - and it was in the Conservative Party's manifesto - that the State Pension would be triple-locked. (The 'triple-lock' on pensions was introduced in 2010 by the Liberals. It means that the State Pension is guaranteed to rise in line with prices, earnings, or 2 . 5% - whichever is the highest.)
Now, with the referendum looming, seemingly, he's had a sudden change of mind.
Am I being cynical to suggest that he's said this just to scare pensioners into voting 'Remain'?
He knows very well that the older among us will probably be one of the biggest blocks of voters in the Referendum.
He knows very well that older voters remember the UK as it was, before we joined the EU - when we could control our borders, make our own laws, spend our own money, as we saw fit.
He knows very well that the majority of pensioners will probably vote LEAVE !
What a SHAMEFUL! thing to do - to try to frighten us 'oldies' into voting his way, by threatening to reduce our pensions !
But I can tell him now that he's on a loser - his scare tactics won't work with us !
We've seen too many Governments come and go, over the years, to be impressed by mere rhetoric. We won't be bribed or bullied or brow-beaten, into voting for something we don't believe in, just to get our 2 . 5%. We're too savvy, too conscientious, too proud, too patriotic, for that.
Aim your threats somewhere else, Mr. Prime Minister. All you'll get from us is contempt !
