BLIMEY, BARACK, THAT'S A BIT RUDE!

Just 241 years ago we were one nation, and the USA was called 'British America'.
(Just to put it into perspective, today, St. George's Day, we celebrate too, Shakespeare's 400th anniversary.)
Barack Obama said yesterday that if the UK votes to leave the European Union, we need not look to America for a trade deal as we will be 'at the end of the queue'. (A bit of an insulting thing to say, as a guest of our Queen and country!) He is apparently looking for deals with the EU and if we're not in it, we're OUT! Strange, that, as we've been in it for forty years now and no sign of a trade deal with the US yet! (So I suppose another forty years won't hurt . . . ?)
He wants us to stay a member of a club which he wouldn't join! He wouldn't have America's courts, borders, laws, its trade, its economy, ruled by a faceless, unelected, undemocratic, obscure elete. His only purpose in wanting us to stay in the EU is that our presence gives America some sort of voice.
Where does this put our 'special relationship'? The relationship that had us fighting two world wars together. The relationship that had UK forces going into Iraq and Afghanistan, and now Syria.
All I can say is this: should you need us again, America, don't go dipping your toes into our collective gene-pool for support. You might just find yourself at the end of the queue! No! Instead rally up the Italians, the Dutch, the Irish, the Israelis, the Chinese, the Mexicans, the Cubans. I can just hear their army boots now, thundering across continents to stand beside you in your hour of need.
Searching for a photo of Barack Obama for this blog, I came across some very interesting biographical 'facts' (?) on the internet. Should you decide to look too, I'll give you a hint of what you're looking for. In our Will's own words:
"We are such stuff as dreams are made of. "
